Diesel Connecting Rod Inspection
Our complete inspection process begins with a visual inspection, magnetic particle inspection, followed by a close measurement inspection. The visual and magniflux inspection is looking for signs of wear, damage, and deformation. The beg-end and small end boars are also measured for roundness against OEM specifications.
Connecting Rod Straightening and Alignment
Bent or twisted connecting rods could cause major and expensive damage to your engine. Each connecting rod is inspected carefully with an alignment gauge. A bent or twisted rod is carefully straightened by our expert machinists to within OEM specs.
Re-Sizing the Big-End Housing Bore
We measure the big end bore against manufacturer’s specifications. A connecting rod that is found to be out of round will be bored to the correct roundness and size. The result is a bearing seating that helps ensure proper lubrication and clearance during the engine operation.
